Transforming a Dated Beachfront Condominium
Sonrise performed a renovation that transformed a Naples beachfront condominium into a home that showcases the clean style and textures so popular today. Removing walls, raising ceilings, and a myriad of upgrades turned a cozy but drab and dated beachfront condo into an open, airy living space that combined European styling with a Florida flair.
The main thrust of the project involved extensive changes and upgrades to the kitchen and dining room by opening and combining those areas. The owner’s request to increase the ceiling height was challenging. But we worked carefully with our partner architect and managed to achieve that wish. In addition to custom cabinetry and stone countertops, other improvements included new plumbing fixtures as well as cutting-edge LED ceiling and cabinet lighting. The original tile was replaced with stylish Legno Bastone wide wood plank flooring and custom baseboard molding.
The living room also received decorative crown molding and the walls and trim received fresh paint. In addition, miscellaneous repairs and/or upgrades were performed in other areas of the home such as the master bath. And lastly, custom automated roll-down. no-see-um screen shutters were added to the balcony allowing a panoramic view the Gulf of Mexico.
Working directly with the architect, Sonrise value-engineered the project to develop the most cost-effective design details possible.
